Call to Order: Chairperson Pfund called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

UPDATES
NAPL / PCB Sediment Remediation Project/Event
Project is 99.9% competed – should be completed by Thanksgiving.
Armor Stone and filter stone being placed on site.
Monitoring details at next meeting (December 2016)
Details: 11,000 Tons of Armor stone
1306 Truck loads of sediment
1 Million gallons of wastewater treated.
PAC Grant 2016-
All pictures taken were reviewed by Commission.
Field Guide “stuffers” will go out in Water Bill
Flowering Rush Grant
2016 – 30 acres have been treated. Contractor has seen an impact.
No money for next year – Melanie will look out for any grant opportunities

Richard Micka –updated us on activities at the Port of Monroe; handed out on water quality and updated us on meeting attended in October 2016.
Barry LaRoy – Meeting with David Aldrich regarding a Nutrient Reduction Program.
Brian suggested that we submit our Field Guide for a Pure Michigan Award. Motion made by Dan Stefanski and seconded by Milward Beaudry. Motion supported.
Milward Beaudry – Inquired about the Sister Island –“ Scenic Vista” , progress has been made City Manager and Danielle Conroyd have reached an agreement.
