AOC COORDINATOR (MDEQ UP-DATE)

Melanie Foose (MDEQ) reviewed with the Commissioners that the EPA is still      working on a final plan to address the DNAPL issue.  She will keep us up-dated as the situation progresses. The Raisin is still considered a priority AOC, however the MDEQ understands that delisting can only occur after remediation of the DNAPL issue.

Ice movement of the boulders in two of the rock arch ramps were discussed. LaRoy explained that the winter ice break up in the Raisin caused displacement of using re-rod set into holes drilled through the boulders and then re-rod will be epoxied to the bed rock bottom of the Raisin. Hopefully this will cement the negatively affected by future ice movement.
